Monterrico Grande 0-6-0 Locomotives in Peru

Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class 4 (Locobase 15092)

Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University, Vol 66, pp. 171. Works numbers were 54087 in November 1920.

So small is this little tank and so narrow the rail gauge that Locobase has no difficulty in concluding that the specification's description of the rail as weighing 75 kg/metre (150 lb/yard) required a decimal point. Thus the rail weight is 7.5 kg/metre (15 lb/yard) laid in sections 16 ft 3 3/4" (5 metres) long with sleepers (ties) every metre.
