Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class unknown (Locobase 21264)

Data from Krupp im Dienst der Dampflokomotive (Essen, Germany: 1940), p 84. Works numbers were 917-919 in 1931.

Locobase's works number identification derives from the Krupp production listing of Dn2 locomotives for the 750 mm gauge delivered to "Muskau" in 1931. Krupp's publication describes the design as a wood-burner intended for forest railway operation.

Its photo shows the large tub-shaped spark-arresting stack needed to reduce fire risk. Piston valves operated by outside constant-lead radial gear fed steam to the cylinders. Locobase suspects the tender carried only the wood fuel as side water tanks flanked the boiler.
