Class Class 01 (Locobase 4906)

Data from D F Holland, Steam Locomotives of the South African Railroads, Volume I: 1859-1910 (New York: Drake Publishers, 1972), p. 30. Branch-line engines, these were produced by both Avonside (works 1215-1216, 1235-1236) and Neilson Reid (2547-2552, 2557-2560).

They operated into the Union years (1910), being scrapped in 1913.
