This pair served the Puerto de Santa Marfa a Sanl+car de Barrameda, a 36.9 km (22.9 mile) line originally chartered in 1876. Several changes of charter later, the line finally began construction under Pedro N de Soto in 1890 and was completed in July 1898. By that time, its ownership had been transferred to the Compa'fa Belga de Ferrocarriles Vecinales de Andalucfa (Compagnie Belgue des Chemins de Fer vecinaux dAndalousie) in 1897.

The Andaluces took over the FC V de A in 1919.

The two Belgians described in this entry arrived as 0-4-0s with a separate tender. Soon after they entered service, the pair was converted to 0-4-0 side tanks. 0241 survived as a display engine after its career ended. 0242 was sold to Sociedad Espa'ola de Construcciones Electromecánicas, de C=rdoba in 1953.
