When they first entered service on the Sur, this six-coupled class received these names, according to []
1- Figuerola
2- Ivo Bosch
3- Almerfa
4- Linares
5- Guadix
6- Guadiana
7- Catalua
8- Iberia
9- Parfs
10- Madrid
The monikers adorned stubby little engines with impressive Belpaire fireboxes.
When the Andaluces took over the Sur, they renumbered the class 271-280. Finally, RENFE's founding in 1941 earned them the class identification shown above. The numbers ran from 2492-2501.

[] gives the following as the names for these three engines while on the Sur:
41- Orber+
46- Melilla
47- Basinski
Then on to the Andaluces as 36-38 and into the RENFE (1941) as 0225-0227.
Data from [], which gives the following as the names for these small, light-rail tank engines while on the Sur:
42- Darro
43- JosT Zorrilla
44- Sierra Nevada
45- Zacatfn
Then on to the Andaluces as 32-35 and into the RENFE (1941) as 0209-0212
