Class 040-2251 (Locobase 3462)

Data from [link], the web site of the Spanish National Railway (19 Mar 2004).

Two additional locomotives added to the six that the Oeste had obtained 20 years earlier from the same builder. Slight adjustments to the boiler and firebox were the only real changes to a basic design.

RENFE gave them numbers 040-2251--040-2252.

Class 601/801/040-2311 (Locobase 3468)

Data from [link], the web site of the Spanish National Railway. Works numbers were 3747-3752 in 1914.

Class 607/807/040-2321 (Locobase 3469)

Data from [link], the web site of the Spanish National Railway. Works numbers were 4455-4462 in 1921.

The single difference between this set of superheated eight-coupleds and the earlier batch that came from the same builder in 1914 (Locobase 3468) was the provision of a larger tender.
