Class Ulla/53/553/2130 (Locobase 3347)

[link], last accessed 4 July 2014. Work numbers were 4286-4287 in 1904 and 5130 in 1915.

Although possessing only moderate power, these British-built Moguls had relatively large boilers for the cylinder volume that needed filling. The relatively large Belpaire fireboxes were easily spotted.

The first two arrived in 1904, fleshing out a small motive power stud originally formed when the two Nasmyth Wilson locomotives were delivered in 1891 (Locobase 3346). Like the earlier pair, these engine had names: Ulla, Jerez, Umia. The last of the three represented a follow-up order that arrived in 1915.

Like the others, these Moguls were renumbered by the MZOV in 1928 (53-55), the Oeste in 1929 (553-555), and the RENFE in 1941.

130-2031 was scrapped in 1953, 2033 withdrawn in 1958, and 2032 withdrawn in 1960.
