Data from "Metre-Gauge Tank Locomotive for Spain," The Locomotive Magazine, Vol IX (5 September 1903)., p.141.
This railway was a challenge in many respects and included the construction of 6 tunnels in 5 km (3 miles). Krauss's design attempted to provide the flexibility needed to negotiate the Basque narrow-gauge's tight curves while putting substantial weight on the drivers. The FC E SS was taken into the FC Vascongados on 1 May 1906, where it joined the FC Central de Vizcaya and FC de Durango a Zumarraga.
