Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class 140-2049 (Locobase 5506)

Data from [link], the web site of the Spanish National Railway (21 April 2003). Works numbers were 258-261.

The number of tubes and flues, firebox heating surface, and tube length is identical to the Andaluces 4105-4119 class (Locobase 3370), but the heating surface given for the two differs by almost 16 sq meters. Diagrams show identical wheelbases (which indicates that the tube length remained the same), but the diagram for 2049 shows the higher tube surface area.
