Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class Sigbjorn (Locobase 6229)

Data from [] (11 July 2004). Works number was 273.

The photo shows a little tank with a bright brass dome near the cab and a large spark-arresting growth at the base of the stack.

After entering service with the UJ in 1901, Sigbjorn traveled to two other Swedish railways, the Ljungbyhom-Karlslunda Jarnvag (renumbered 42) and Byvalla-Langshyttans Jarnvag as #8. The DONJ inherited the Sigbjorn in 1972. See Locobase 5069 for slightly more on the DONJ museum railway.
