Class 13/B2 (Locobase 20382)

Data from Litt B2, one of a series of SJ locomotive diagrams archived by Anders Lundbing on [link], last accessed 10 June 2017 (Snabcon AB advertised its tools for mounting RJ45 connectors on bundled cables.) and Tommy Nilsson's Svenska-lok.se website at Svenska-lok.se, last accessed 21 June 2018.

Locobase 9883 shows this trio of Moguls in their original saturated-boiler, Belpaire-firebox configuration. Whatever virtues the North American approach may have contained, the Swedish railway apparently decided to go full-Scandinavian when they contracted with Nydquist & Holm for a complete rebuild. Tommy Nilsson noted that, in addition to a superheater, the new engines had round-top fireboxes, new larger-diameter cylinders with piston valves. As many railways did at the time, the YEJ reduced the original boiler pressure.

The YEJ was taken into the Statens Jarnvagar in 1941, which dubbed the class B2 and operated them until 1949. All three were scrapped in 1956.
