These six Prairie tanks were bought for three Swiss railways. Designed to run equally well in both directions, the design had a Bissel truck forward and an Adams radial truck under the firebox and tank.
41-42 (works # 1667-1668) went to the Thunerseebahn (TSB). The other engine in the batch of three (works #1669) and the first of the second trio (road numbers 43-44) delivered in 1907 (works #1828) operated first on the Gnrbetalbahn (GTB). 45 & 46 (works #1829-1830) went to the Erlenbach-Zweisimmen-Bahn (EZB). But the three Berne-area railways used the sixengines interchangeably.
After electrification in the 1920s, all six were sold to the Austrian State Railways (The BB+) as class 130 and went into shunting (switching) service. When Class 478 supplanted the 130s in 1928-1929, 130.03-04 (ex-GTB 43-44) were sold to the SteiermSrkischen Landesbahnen (StLB) where they operated until 1957 and 1965, respectively. The other 4 were retired and scrapped.
