Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class B/Eb 2/4 (Locobase 5120)

Data from [link], last accessed 19 January 2017, (First viewed August 2002). See also "Report on Locomotives for the St. Gothard [sic] Railway", The Engineer, Volume 54 (17 November 1882), pp. 368-371. Works numbers were 1007-1012 in 1882.

These Eight-wheeler tanks ran up to the end of steam on the GB, retiring in 1927.

Class Ea 2/4 (Locobase 5121)

Data from [link], last accessed 19 January 2017, (First viewed August 2002). Works numbers were 1548-1550 in 1890.

Larger versions of the 1882 tanks described in Locobase 5120, the boilers offered a bit more steam at higher pressure. The big difference, however, was the adoption of much taller drivers.

These engines retired in 1923.
