Belle Point & Reserve 0-4-2 Locomotives in the USA

Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class 6 (Locobase 16557)

Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University, Volume 19, p. 141. Baldwin works numbers are unclear.

Baldwin's specification shows an order for six locomotives from sugar planation owner Leon Godchaux. Locobase has found that Baldwin used a stock plantation engine design (see, e.g., Locobase 13485) that didn't differ from the template for many years.

According to the specs, three of the engines went to his Belle Point & Reserve as shown here. (See Locobase 16558 for the other three.)
