Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines, 1888, as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University Vol 15, p.179. See also the history of Olowalu town on Maui at [], last accessed 7 July 2011.
Works number was 10389 in October 1889. Six years later, the plantation line ordered a second locomotive differing only in its 140-psi boiler pressure. Its works number was 26449 in September 1905.
Olowalu Plantation later fell under the Pioneer Mill Company's umbrella of plantations.
