Class Coney Island (Locobase 11824)

Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University Volume 12, , p. 56 . Works number was 7335 in June 1884.

This was one of the tank engines that headed up passenger traffic from the terminal in Brooklyn near the bridge to Coney Island. The Sea Beach Line was electrified in 1898 and the Coney Island put in mothballs. In 1899, the 3 found new employment on the very short (2.15 miles) Milford, Matamoros & New York Railroad and ran until 1917.
