Class 3 (Locobase 11668)

Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines, 1888, as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University Vol 14, 104.

Works numbers were 9129 in March 1888.

The C & S was incorporated in 1882 as a broad-gauge street railway and this steam dummy pulled cars for about 8 years until the system was electrified. The relatively new locomotive was then sold to the 14-mile Cuyler & Woodburn in 1896.

After the C & W entered foreclosure in 1897 and renamed the Savannah & Statesboro, the 3 were converted to standard gauge and served the 33-mile long line.
