Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University, Volume 36, pp. 67. See also Bill Earngey, Missouri Roadsides: A Traveler's Companion (Columbia, MO: U of Missouri Press, 1995), p. 76. Works number was 35565 in October 1910.
After suffering a disastrous fire in 1887 at its St Francois County mill, the Desloge company merged with the St Joseph Lead Company of Bonne Terre and, in 1890, the Mine A Joe Company and the St Francois Lead Mining Company. Their headquarters was in Slab Town, which lay to the west of the St Louis, Iron Mountain & Southern; Slab Town would be renamed Desloge by 1912.
This Mogul had the slope-backed tender that usually meant switching operations and appears to have operated its entire career for Desloge.
