Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University, Volume 41, p. 46. Works number was 37912 in June 1912.
WC & W bought this Mogul to help them in their general railroad construction business. In 1918, the contractor sold the 654 to locomotive rebuilder/reseller Southern Iron & Equipment. SI & E sold the engine in April 1919 to Poinsett Lumber & Manufacturing Company of Trueman, Ark, which gave the engine road number 5.
