Longville Lumber 2-6-2 "Prairie" Locomotives in the USA

Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class 93 (Locobase 14935)

Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University Volume 65, p. 45. Works number was 54090 in November 1920.

Identical to the Calcasieu superheated logging Consolidation described in Locobase 14933 and owned by the same company, the 93 first operated in Longville, La. It later joined the Calcasieu #68 on the Longview, Portland & Northern. Unlike the 68, which was later sold to Mexico, the 93 was scrapped after 35 years' service by the LP&N.
