Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class 7 (Locobase 14147)

Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University, Volume 48, p. 257 and Volume 62, pp. 366+. Works numbers were 40539 in September 1913 and 52854 in January 1920.

As in many Baldwin logging locomotives, the specs called for "Spring rigging to be extra heavy for rough service."

17, which was ordered six years after the 7, burned oil and trailed a tender holding 1,500 gallons (5,678 litres) of oil. She also put a little more weight on the drivers (68,000 lb/30,844 kg) and had a total engine weight of 89,000 lb (40,370 kg).
