Columbia & Puget Sound 2-8-0 "Consolidation" Locomotives in the USA

Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class 7 (Locobase 12240)

Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works datacard as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University. Works numbers were 15439-15440 in July 1897 and 19298

in July 1901.

The C&PS was operated by the Pacific Coast (described briefly in Locobase 12079). All of this design of Consolidations experienced a change of status in 1916. The 8 adopted the parent Pacific Coast herald in March. The 7 was sold to McKenna Lumber Company for $6,000 in July; that company retired its engine in 1932.

Both were scrapped in July 1940.
