Unspecified 2-8-0 "Consolidation" Locomotives in the USA

Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class Danforth - 1884 (Locobase 10022)

Data from Park Benjamin (Ed), Appleton's Cyclopedia of Applied Mechanics (New York: D Appleton & Company, 1884), p. 341. Boiler pressure is an estimate.

This portly Consolidation is included in Park's illustrations as an example of a 2-8-0 of the time. He gives no indication of what railroad might have owned it, but the specs are quite detailed and precise. It was one of the few designs of that time that used 2 1/4" tubes.
