Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class unknown (Locobase 1027)

Data from John H White, Jr, A History of the American Locomotive: Its Development: 1830-1880 (New York: Dover Publications, 1979 - original publication in 1968). See also Paul B Mattice, "The Catskill and Canajoharie Railroad ", archived at [link], last accessed 9 July 2023; and "General History of Greene County", p 49, archived at [link], last accessed 9 July 2023.

Based on a description published by Paul R Hodge (who may have designed it) in 1840. He claimed that the engine had pulled a 220-ton load at 14 miles up a slope. It cost $6,300.

The C&C connected Catskill with Cooksburgh, 26 miles distant.
