Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class 2 (Locobase 10789)

Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works, Record of Recent Construction ((1903), No. 39, p.280-281. See also DeGolyer, Volume 25, p. 19. Works number was 20919 in October 1902.

This 38-mile (61 km) narrow-gauge line connected Fredericksburg and Orange in northern Virginia's Spotsylvania County. Established before the Civil War, the PF&P maintained its narrow-gauge right-of-way until 1926.

This little American moved to the Orange & Fredericksburg when the original railroad widened its gauge. A year later the O&F sold the engine to the Virginia Central in November 1927.
