Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class Hopewell (Locobase 11711)

Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines, 1890, as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University Vol 16, p. 148. Works number was 11329 in November 1890. See also Mark Cain's [link] . This Pennsylvania railroad was NOT the Cornwall & Lebanon, although its route paralleled that of the C & L. Instead, the 11.8-mile Old Corny served the Lancaster and Lebanon county area for a century as an independent railroad and for most of that time was very prosperous hauling iron ore from the largest deposit east of the Mississippi.
