Data from Schenectady Locomotive Works, Illustrated Catalogue of Simple and Compound Locomotives (Philadelphia: J B Lippincott, 1897), pp. 36-37. Works numbers were 2772-2774 in 1897.

This Ten-wheeler design had a relatively small grate to serve such a large boiler.

The 5 and the 7 were relettered for the Rutland and renumbered 249 and 250. 6 was renumbered by the New York Central & Hudson River 1002.
