Class 1 (Locobase 13025)

Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University, Volume 29, p. 229. Works number was 29750 in December 1906.

This was a relatively large locomotive for the cylinder volume it deployed. It served the 20-mile line based in Warren, Ark and travelling west and south to Banks on 60 lb/yard (30 kg/metre) rail.

After several decades, the 1 was sold to the Rock Island in 1949, which renumbered it 805, then later renumbered it 9. After its retirement, the Rock sold the 9 to Ray Burmaster & Bill Armstrong in July 1965. They shipped the engine to North Freedom, WI and restored in non-operating condition as W&OV 1. Carl Ulrich bought the 1 in 1979 moved it to North Lake, WI.

When owner Kettle Moraine Ry closed in 2002, the 1 moved to Black River Falls, WI, for display and relettered for the Black River & Northern.
