Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class 1 (Locobase 15359)

Data from DeGolyer, Volume 78, p. 88+. Works numbers were 58826-58828 in November 1925.

This trio of saddle-tanks was bought to support construction of the Lake Guajataca Reservoir in northwestern Puerto Rico. They faced predictably tight limits as they traveled on 30 and 40 lb/yard (15 and 20 kg/metre) rail around almost impossibly tight curves with radii of 60 feet.

Constructed by the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA), the dam that created the reservoir was completed in 1929.
