Owned by the Asociación Azucarera Cooperativa Lafayette, this sugar processor was locted in Arroyo, Puerto Rico.

The sugar road was privately owned until 1936, when the government's response to the Great Depression included passage of the Puerto Rican Reconstruction Administration (PRRA). As part of its wide-ranging efforts to set the economy back on its feet, the PRRA bought the Central Lafayette.
