Class Carmen (Locobase 12858)

Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University, Volume 28, p. 20. Works number was 27021 in December 1905.

Moguls were popular in logging and sugar-plantation service. Contracting for the operator was Arthur Koppel for Finlay Brothers and Weymouth Trading Company. Vega-Alta lies to the west of San Juan on Puerto Rico's north shore. In 1916, its main line was 7 miles long running from VegaAlta to Dorado on the coast. Its opening in 1907 was saluted as having opened up one of the richest valleys on the island.
