Data from "Federated Malay States Railways Type 0.6.4T", Locomotives Manufactured by Messrs Kitson & Co Ltd, Leeds. See also the comprehensive "Federated Malay States Railways-FMSR Class I" in Wikipedia at [], last accessed 3 April 2022. Works numbers were 4527-4531 in 1908; 4946-4953 and 5021-5030 in 1913.

Kitson & Co delivered the lion's share of the 31 tanks built for the FMSR between 1907 and 1916 (road numbers 83-87, 145-152, 162-166). North British contributed three in 1912 (works numbers 19909-19911 (road 122-124), Hawthorn Leslie works numbers in 3146-3150 in 1916 (road 177-181).

Of the 31 in service in 1916, 13 were retired in 1927-1945. The other 18 were renumbered in 1946, but had been withdrawn by 1953. Two of these went to Malayan Collieries in 1951 and 1953.

(Kitson supplied five more I1s with 15 1/2" (394 mm) x 24" (610 mm) cylinders with NBLC producing another 16. )
