Based on the single Mallet delivered to the Natal Government Railways (Locobase 2776), this pair went to the CFM in 1912. Its motion used 10" (254 mm) piston valves to serve the HP cylinders and Richardson balance slide valves for the LP cylinders.
Locobase hasn't determined how long the pair remained in service, but notes that decades later the two were reported to still be in existence, " but derelict".
