Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University Volume 66, p 432. See also an unusual view of Tucuman, The Garden of the Argentine Republic, in "Christina's" blog "The Thinking Stomach, "Argentina: Tucuman" entry dated 15 August 2010 at [] . Works numbers were 54141-54142 in November 1920.
Located in Tucuman Province about 675 miles (1,085 km) northwest of Buenos Aires, the IM bought this wood-burning tank based on a design in widespread use. It was fitted with the Rushton Improved cabbage stack to swallow sparks. The second engine was named Jose Padilla.
