These adhesion-forward locomotives first entered service as passenger engines in 1857 (Locobase 13371). After the conversion, the stubby-looking terminal switchers had improbably tall, delicately spoked drivers with long side tanks.
Withdrawals began in 1908 and continued through World War One.
