Tube diameter is the interior measurement; external diameter was 50 mm (1.97"). This may well be the earliest in a string of Madrid, Zaragoza y Alicante locomotives that had the same cylinder dimensions and driver diameter. It had a lower boiler pressure, smaller grate, smaller tender.
