Data from "Rolling Stock of the Stockholm-Vesteras-Bergslagens Ry", The Locomotive Magazine, Volume XII [12] (15 October 1906), p. 178; and "Current Topics", Cassier's Magazine, Volume XXXII , [32], No. 3 (July 1907), pp. 285-286.
One of the very few single-cylinder steam locomotives Locobase has encountered, this little assembly consisted of a lightweight engine car and a small trailing coach. The locomotive had a horizontal boiler, bicycle-size drivers. It had a tall stack behind the boiler and firebox.
Two seats located over the drivers allowed for close inspection of the rails at speeds of between 17-18 mph (27.3-29 kph). The trailing car held a sofa, chair, table, washstand and room for five people. In favourable weather, Cassier's reported, the little vehicle could reach 34-37 mph (55-60 kph). The magazine added that the steam motor was also "used occasionally for ordinary passenger travel".
