Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University Volume 40, p. 133. See also Numistoria's "Victoria-Minas Railway Company (1902)" bond description at [], last accessed 2 March 2023.Works numbers were 38309-38310 in September 1912.
The VaM's route included the cities Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais and Vitória, Espfrito Santo. It comprised the Petanha in Araxa and Victoria in Petanha in a merger. .Formed to built a line from Vittoria in Espiritu Santo to Diamantina in Minas Gerais, the project benefited from the Braxilian government's promise of a 6% return on capital over 30 year period. But after 1914, the government never paid the guarantee.
Two other lines, one going from Santa-Anna dos Ferros to Itabira do Matto-Dentro and the other from Curralinha to Diamantina.
