Restored as a French builder after the 1918 Armistice returned Alsace-Lorraine to France, SACM added these ten Consolidations to the CFAE's narrow-gauge system. They put a low axle-load on the system's light track.
Tube diameter is the interior measurement. External tube diameter measured 70 mm (2.76").

The brief item in LM included the claim that the first engines of this designs gave "such satisfaction in service" that a further batch had been ordered.
Based on standard-gauge 2-8-0s ordered by the French from British builders during World War II, the Algerian variant met specifications suited to its lighter narrow-gauge railways.
