Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University, Vol 72, pp. 161+. Works number was 57616 in March 1924.
A sugar plantation in Rio de Janeiro State in southeastern Brazil, the UdoQ presented few challenges to a wood-burning Mogul. Its ruling grade, for example, was a mere 1/2%. The usual precautions were taken against scattering sparks by fitting the engine with a Rushton Improved spark arresting cabbage stack of the "Rushton self-cleaning type".
