Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class see comment (Locobase 3607)

Data from Wiener (1930). Martin Coombs, Chilean steam locomotive list, Part 3-Metre Gauge (March 2022), downloaded [], p. 32.

Martin Coombs notes the comment in Wiener concerning this Prairie Mallet designer, which Wiener speculated the class would be identical to those delivered by Alco and Henschel to Brazil in the same years except for the superheaters in these engines.

Coombs traces the order back to a 1913 table showing the Howard Syndicate's plan to buy four more Mallets.Apparently, he could find no evidence of a builder or a delivery schedule and concluded that the order had never been placed.
