Data from Martin Coombs, Chilean steam locomotive list, Part 3-Metre Gauge (March 2022), downloaded [], pp. 22-23, 106, last accessed 24 January 2026. Works number was 5189 in May 1897.
W R Grace ordered this little passenger six-wheeler for operation on the cryptically named in Connelly's list "Ferrorcarriles Aislados" in or near La Calera on the La Calera-Cabildo section. Lemuth described its operator as Chilean State Railway, Southern Division. La Calera.
In any event, the Chilean State added a trailing truck and renumbered it. (Coombs concluded that the usually applied road number 298 is unlikely and suggested 297.) By 1930, the engine was reported to be on the roster, but not in use.
