Data from "Locomotive Development in the Far East," Railway Master Mechanic, Volume , No 10 (October 1908), p. 280.
These were virtually identical to du Bousquet-Meyer engines built for the Nord Railway in France in 1905. The boiler used the internally finned Serve tubes
Originally built as a Belgian-French concession, this railway was operated during most of its history by French staff. Their preference for this type of locomotive suggests as much.
