What did the RF&P, a small railroad in Alabama, and a sugar road have in common? Well, a look at Locobases 11570-11572 show at least two shared qualities: The engines were built nearly seriatum in Philadelphia in 1889 and they all used the same grate. Firebox areas differed a little and the boiler more so, but all were 6-drivered freight engines.
The two Moguls shown in this entry went to a sugar-tobacco road of moderate size (137 km/85 miles, 70,000 tons of sugar, 2,100 tons of tobacco, and 230,000 passengers) in western Cuba.
