One of the O & K standard 6-coupleds had several variations of cylinder volume to go under a common boiler design. 8538 shows the 1908 version with a longer stroke; this variant is smaller and lighter (and older). Both arrived on the KLP in 1906. 21 (works #2087) was dubbed HEINZ and 22 (works #2129) bore the name D+RFEL.
HEINZ was turned over to the Soviet Union in 1945 as a war reparation. D+RFEL was given a DDR DRG number in 1949, but it operated on the same tracks for all 60 years before its retirement in 1966.
