These small 4-wheelers were the first locomotives for this railroad. They had spread axles and outside valve motion and were rated at 28 mph (45 km/h).

According to [] , this little tank used the Prussian T-3 as a model. Production spanned 15 years.
When the DRG was formed in 1923, it took 37 of this class into service as 98 1. Most of these were retired by 1927. A few continued as switchers for the German Armed Forces with 5 serving until 1953.
