Data from ""Mikado Type Locomotive for Gold Coast Railway"", Locomotive Magazine, Volume XXIX [29] (15 March 1923], pp. 65-66. Works numbers were 1377-1382 in 1922.
LM's report took special note of the relatively light axle loading for a freight engine generating 30,000 lb of tractive effort. The accompanying photo shows a relatively well-disguised Belpaire firebox set well back on a long boiler. A relatively capacious firebox included a brick arch, but the superheat ratio seems rather low at 11%.
Both Bissel trucks enjoyed a 3 1/2"" (89 mm) play to either side and were equalized with the nearest driven axle. Inside-admission piston valve diameters measured 10"" (254 mm) each.
