22 years after the Newport & Ryde took delivery of a Beyer, Peacock tank (Locobase 20769), its successor went back to the company for a repeat order. The drivers now stood an inch taller and the tanks and bunker held a bit more water and fuel. The heftier boiler was pressed to a higher degree.
