Class unknown (Locobase 7572)

Data from 1946 Beyer, Peacock catalogue hosted on Martyn Bane's website at [] (accessed 21 May 2006).

Batch #1411 (works#6738) (Production data from The Beyer, Peacock production list -- [], last accessed 29 May 2006).

Just before BP built some quite impressive tanks for the Soviet State Railways (see Locobase 7571 & 7573), they produced this rather more conventional industrial tank for this Pontardawe-based tinplate manufacturer. (Pontardawe is 7 miles from Swansea in the county of West Glamorgan in Wales.) Even so, it was quite powerful for a saddle-tanker of that arrangement.
