The first new engines on the L&LS, this group of freight tanks operated until their scrapping in 1911-1913. Engine #2 was named Londonderry, and #3 was called Donegal.
The author reported on the "peculiar features" -- its "long, low-pitched boiler and short coupled wheel base; the tanks are carried underneath the bunker.".
